Use a product that is safe and only for wood. A good choice would be ‘Pledge’ in liquid form that you add to warm water. Another product that works well is ‘Super Shine All’; it can be used in a spray form. These products won't strip the finish of your wood and they won't leave any residue or buildup on the wood.

Now that you have the cleaning product you will be using. You have to dry clean your wood walls and paneling. This means get rid of all cobwebs and dust with a dry mop. You may also remove any nails or tacks. I suggest using a ladder or get an extending dry mop for hard to reach areas.

Do not use wet mops to clean wood walls or paneling. It allows excess water to drip. The best way to clean your wood walls is to use the spray form or a bucket with the solution in it. For older wood walls the polish may be absorbed quickly so you can apply a second coat.

Some products such as Endust is great for dusting your walls in between cleanings and it will help to prevent dust from accumulating. Another nice thing about Endust is it doesn't cause the wax buildup that you can get from polishing over and over again. For heavy duty dirt on older walls, I've used Spic and Span and it worked very well. However, I don't recommend using it on all walls. When in doubt about what to use for cleaning your wood walls, try to contact the manufacturer or look up the type of wood your cleaning on the Internet. There should be suggestions on how to care for your type of wood walls. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Another cleaning tip for wood walls is using plastic scrapers that you can purchase at the hardware store to remove candle wax, tape and food. It won't scratch the wood and it can be used on other non scratch resistant items in your home. To maintain the beauty of your wood walls and paneling, I suggest cleaning them every 6 months. Hopefully these steps and tips will help you clean your wood walls and paneling.

A) To remove WET paint from clothes:

- For WATER-BASED paints

Make sure all the paint is gone, and then the clothing can be washed as normal.

- For OIL-BASED paints

Keep adding it until you are sure that all the paint is 'loose' from the clothing. Then, and only then, start rinsing, with plenty of plain cold water. Once you're sure all the paint is gone, the clothing can be washed as normal.

B) To remove DRIED paint from clothes:

- For WATER-BASED paints

Soak the clothing for at least 24 hours in cold water. Then, as for wet paint, rub gently or use a soft brush to dislodge any stubborn paint from the fibers. Make sure all the paint is gone, and then the clothing can be washed as normal.

-For OIL-BASED paints

You will almost certainly be unable to scrape the paint off the surface of the clothing. You will probably have to use a commercially-produced paint remover: be sure to read the instructions CAREFULLY as to whether it is usable on the material from which your clothes are made. Again, once you're sure all the paint is gone, the clothing can be washed as normal.

You could also use paintbrush cleaner, available from any DIY store, but I would not recommend this for any artificial fabrics, or for wool or silk.

Of course, prevention is always best - wear old clothes for decorating, or craft activities, or cover up with an overall.

Lock technology is prevalent in today's modern society. How can I make such a bold statement and be so sure about it? Well, ask yourself this - "In your daily life while going about your routines, do you encounter any locks? One? Even a dozen perhaps?". Personally, within a day, I could be using up to 7 locks - 4 different keys to the doors of my house, one key for my car, one to my office building and another electronic key to the office itself. This is considered to be fairly normal. Some of you probably interact with even more than this.

What is the main driver behind having so many locks? Security of course, or at least a sense of security. A lock may not 100% guarantee prevention of someone breaking into your home, office, shop or car, but it will at the very least deter a would-be trespasser. This would also be dependent on your location. Obviously if it is notorious for break-ins or if there are other vulnerabilities of your establishment, having a lock may not be effective. The next question is then, "Why are there so many different types of locks?". Well, each type provides a different level of security and I'll provide an overview of a dead-bolts and combination locks.

One of the most common types is the dead-bolt lock. You probably have one of these on the front main door of your house. The component of the lock which prevents the door from being opened is a bolt embedded in the door. When you insert the appropriate key into the lock, turning in one direction will cause the bolt to extend into a notch (that is lined up) in the door frame while turning in the opposite direction will retract the bolt back into the door. So this type is designed simply such that the person with a key can easily gain access but more difficult for others without they key.

Another type is the combination lock, which consists of either one or more dials that you need to rotate into the correct sequence in order to unlock. With a single-dial lock, it is opened by rotating the dial in alternating directions - e.g. for the first number of the sequence, turn clockwise, then counter-clockwise for the second number followed by a clockwise rotation again for the third number and so on until the last number in the sequence. You're probably familiar with these locks on school lockers (i.e. combination padlocks) and safes. A multiple-dial lock consists of two sides - one side has several mounted discs and the other side has a pin which goes through the center of the discs. Opening this type of lock involves rotating each of the discs to their correct sequence allowing the pin to be pulled out.

Seriously, everybody loses when an estimate is not done carefully.

When I do an estimate, I try to imagine in my mind, actually doing the paint job. For example, is it easier or more difficult to bring all the tools into the house? Are there pets or children to contend with? Are the walls dirty? Are there a lot of nail pops? Basically, what are the conditions before painting? How much time will it take to get the area ready to go on?

Protection, what is needed? What needs to be removed prior to starting? What about switch plates, lighting, pianos, grandfather clocks or anything that is expensive and will require special handling. If you think that is overkill just wait until one of your painters scratches a piano and you have to get its expensive lacquer finish redone. Again how much time to move and protect?

Preparations, how much time will it take to spackle, sand, and prime or spot prime prior to painting?

Next, measure the room, width then length. Then multiply the width times the length. That will give you the square feet of the ceiling. How much time does it take to paint a ceiling of this square footage?

Second, measure the height, then multiply the width times two, then multiply the length times two, finally take that total and multiply times the height of the walls. This will give you the square footage of the walls. Now how much time does it take for your crew to paint walls of this square footage?

Third, back up, the baseboard lineal footage is 2 times length plus two times the width. How much time does it take for your crew to paint baseboards?

Count doors, windows, shelving and any other single item such as crown molding, chair rail, etc. Add them up individually and multiply times the amount of time your crew takes to paint these items.

Are you all done measuring for painting? Great, now replace those things you removed prior to painting. Add up the time it would take.

Cleanup, figure the time it will take to remove drops and ladders etc. Now compute how much time to vacuum, wipe down etc. Put everything back into the truck, how much time did that take?

Finally, add all these times up and multiply by the hourly rate that you have calculated to be what you need to make money, and you are done.

Concrete of one part cement, two parts sand and four parts ballast is mixed and poured into the pit. It is then vibrated properly. Power points are placed on the side and top for lighting and the bell.

The gate stanchion concrete should dry for at least four days. The gate is then lifted and put into position on the hinges. If the columns are done correctly it will fit on the provide hinges. The top of the hinge is then capped by welding to prevent lifting of the gate. The tower bolt position is marked at the center of the gate. Two steel round hollow sections of one feet long are driven into the ground. A concrete surround is done to prevent movement when locking the gate.

Having glass mosaic tile installed in your home is a wonderful addition. It not only makes the space beautiful but it also increases the value of your home. The tile must be installed and grouted properly though. If the wrong color grout is used, your project will turn out horrible. Sometimes picking the right grout color can be very difficult especially if you have a lot of different colors in the same installation. Here are a couple of scenarios.

Let's say that you put up white glass mosaic tile in your bathroom shower surround. Then you decide to put black tile on the floor. When it comes to time to grout, you may have some trouble deciding on a color. If you choose a light grout for the white tiles then the black will look very broken. However if you choose a dark grout for the black tiles, the whites will look broken.

Now let's say that you are going to create a cool mosaic stripe look. You will run stripes of three colors down the wall; red, white, and dark gray. Once again, you have a grout color problem. If you choose a dark gray grout then the white will be severely broken up. Too light and the gray will look horrible.

So what do you do? Two tone grouting is the answer. Simply grout each section separately. You will need that blue painters tape and lots of newspaper or craft paper. It is recommended to grout with the dark grout first so it can't stain the lighter grout. Carefully tape off the sections that are being grouted first. Make sure you have a clean line of tape so your grout joint is straight. Now completely cover the section that you don't want to grout with the newspaper. Take no chances as grouting can be very messy.

Grout all the sections that need the dark grout and wipe it down completely. Make sure to pull the tape off within 10 minutes. Totally clean up all the dark grout so you don't accidentally get it mixed in with the lighter grout. Wait until the dark grout has set up. Now repeat the steps with the light grout.
You are finished and have great looking grout joints that no one will see because they should be focused on your tile work instead!

DIY Last Minute Halloween Decoration

Don't panic, I tell myself. Yes, there's less than one week to go before Halloween, and I haven't prepared anything for my party yet. Just don't panic ... oh, I'm afraid I actually DO panic!

If you are like me and tend to leave things to the very last minute, you might be in desperate need for a Halloween decoration that

- is easy and quick to do,
- doesn't strain your budget too much and
- will earn you some admiring 'Ohs' and 'Ahs' from your guests.

Here comes the 'Spooky Bouquet' to the rescue! For one bouquet you'll need:

- four high quality 11" latex balloons, preferably with Halloween design, but if you can't get those, three plain black and one plain orange balloon will do as well,
- color matching curling ribbon (5mm wide),
- a plastic or ceramic pumpkin for the base (or any other small item that fits the theme and to which you can attach the ribbons) and
- a small flask of helium to fill the balloons.

How to make it?

You start with inflating the first of your black balloons with helium. Before you tie the knot you should make sure that the balloon is fully inflated to its 11" size. This is important as the bouquet will only look good if all balloons are blown up to the same size. There are two easy ways to do this: you could make yourself a simple 'balloon sizer' by cutting a circle of 11" diameter out of a piece of cardboard or you could set up two chairs back to back, so that the distance between them equals 11".

So, before you knot the balloon, pass it through your sizer and if necessary, deflate or inflate the balloon until it fits. Now take about 1m length from your curling ribbon and tie it to the balloon neck, leaving ca. 30cm loose for curling. Then attach the other end of the ribbon to your base. The overall height from the base to the top of the balloon should be about 80cm.

Repeat these steps for the other two black balloons. Position all three balloons at the same height.

O.k., just one more step to finish your Spooky Bouquet. Take the last balloon, in our example that would be the orange balloon, inflate it as described above and attach it to the base, so that it floats in the center of the three black balloons and just above them. You found the perfect position, when the top balloon just slightly touches the three black balloons.

Congratulations. You're done! Now stand back and admire your floating bouquet. There are so many Halloween themed balloons, both latex and foil, that you can easily create variations of this basic design. For example, you'll get a nice effect, if you replace the top latex balloon with a foil balloon - it could be a crazy pumpkin, a flying witch or a ghastly ghost ... whatever you prefer.

One special tip: as this is a last minute decoration idea, it might be too late to order a helium tank from a specialised balloon supplier. Maybe you know a small corner shop in your neighborhood that sells balloons. They probably have helium too. If it's not for sale, ask them to inflate your balloons on the spot and take the inflated balloons home with you. Of course, you should go there prepared and take the curling ribbon and the balloon sizer with you.

As a replacement for of traditional Halloween bags for candy, use other items related to your costume and store them in the ‘imagination box.’ For example, you can implement items such as pillowcases, old pocketbooks, garbage bags, baskets, small backpacks, doctor’s bags, or even diaper bags.

Ever since my kids were old enough to take part in trick-or-treating activities, I have made their costumes. Once Halloween approaches, I start on asking them what they would like to be. Then I scour the house and our box of goodies to find whatever I might already have on hand, making a list of the items with which I need. Generally, these few items can be bought at the local thrift shop or dollar store so there usually isn’t extra money invested in the project.

For safety reasons, I prefer to use make-up or face paint as opposed to masks. You can simply make your own out of corn starch and food coloring. This is not only safer than using masks, but it’s also cheaper, easier to apply, and comes off just as easily with mild soap and water. How to grow vegetables in containers?

For some persons, traditional gardens are not practical because of space limitations or because there are so much work to do. As for other alternative, there is an easier way to grow and enjoy fresh vegetables in containers.

Many vegetables lend themselves well to any container. With a certain thought to choose varieties of bush or dwarf, almost any vegetable can be adapted to grow in a pot. The vegetables which take little space, such as carrots, radishes and lettuce, or crops that bear fruits over a long period of time, such as tomatoes and peppers, are great for container.

You can follow work instructions below to grow your own vegetables in container:

1. Light exposure.

Choose vegetable plants according to how much sun or shade they’ll obtain everyday. Leafy vegetables, such as carrots, lettuce, spinach and onions are all right in partial shade. But plants that bear fruit such as tomatoes, eggplant, squash and peppers need full sun light at least 6 hours per day.

2. Type of container.

Any container is suitable for vegetable plants as long as it has good drainage. Leafy vegetable and herbs do not need as much space, but use a pot at least 9 inches deep so you don’t have to water frequently. Vegetables with extensive root systems such as potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes and squash need containers with a minimum depth of 16 inches. Remember, the bigger the pot, the bigger the yield. An additional 2 inches deep can more than double your harvest.

Small containers usually dry out very fast in summer. The smallest size of container for outdoor use is around 8 to 12 inches in diameter which is ideal to use in shade part.

Midsummer heat can fry tiny, hair like feeder roots. Without these feeder roots, the plant will die even if the soil is wet. Then larger roots become very weak to root rot fungus that can raze the rest of the plant. Overheat soil is a common cause of failure in container plantings. Thick wood and dark colored containers will take up more heat, while light colored containers reflect heat.

If you are using recycled containers, clean them very well with brush and wash in a solution of 9 parts water to one part bleach. If containers are porous, soak them well in water before filling so they won’t act like sponges and pull all the water out of your soil.

3. Preparation of the soil.

Purchase a high quality mixture soil that is sterilized, and able to absorb moisture and drain fast. Never use garden soil. It may have fungi and diseases and is usually very heavy and slow to drain.

4. Fertilize

Plants grow in containers cannot search nutrients with their roots. Confined root systems demand frequent light fertilizing in summer. Nutrients are leached from the soil with watering and require to be replenished regularly. Two to four weeks after planting, start applying a water soluble fertilizer mixed half strength. Apply fertilizer every two to three weeks continuously except you add a slow release fertilizer to the soil.

There is 3 numbers on the fertilizer package that explain what the fertilizer is formulated to do. The numbers are always in the following order:

Nitrogen - for green leaves
Phosphorus - for flowers and fruit
Potassium - for root growth

When one of the numbers is bigger than the others, that means the fertilizer is designed to promote growth in that specific part of the plant.

Never over feed your plants. A little is good, a lot is worse!

5. Watering requirements.

Watering requirements will be different according to the season, type of container, soil mix and exposure. Check your containers daily. Touch your finger into the top inch of soil. If it feels damp there is no immediate need to water. If it feels dry then you should water until some runs out the bottom of the container.

Water the plants early in the morning to avoid wet leaves at night when temperatures drop and mildew and disease organisms grow. Use a spray to avoid washing out the soil.

Finally, you will be satisfied with your completion of growing your own vegetables in containers. As reward, you will be able to enjoy those fresh, tasty organic foods as long as your container garden produces them.

The first basic method assumes that you can go to a store and just buy the ingredients. The second method assumes that you have animals to butcher and a proper place to burn wood fires and saved the ashes.

- First Basic Method

You will need a small plastic dishpan about 10" x 12", an enamel 2-quart saucepan, 12 ounces of lye (sodium hydroxide), 3 pounds of lard and enough water. As safety awareness, you will need hand gloves and eye protection.

Wear hand gloves and eye protection. Pour 3 cups of ice water or refrigerate water into the enamel saucepan. Carefully put in the lye a little bit a time, stirring it with a wooden utensil. Make sure you not use any metal and not breathe the vapor.

The lye mixture will be very hot. Allow it cool in a safe place at least one hour. Meanwhile, the unwrapped lard should be warm up to room temperature in the plastic dishpan.

Once the lye solution is cool, carefully pour it into the lard in the dishpan. The lard will melt. Stir and mix thoroughly for about15 minutes, until it looks like thick pudding. Then allow it set until the next morning.

After it set, cut it into bars and package. It will get harder after several days. If you want to create olive oil soap based, use about 48 ounces. It may take a week to harden.

If you wish to create liquid soap, make chips from your home-made soap bar. Put in enough hot water to dissolve followed by citric acid to get pH 7 to 8. It is important to add in acid citric to avoid harsh on your skin.

- Second Basic Method

This soap making method takes 3 basic steps.

1) Making of the wood ash lye.

Place wood ashes in a bottomless barrel. Set on a stone slab with a groove and carve a lip in it. The stone in turn settled on a pile of rocks. Place a layer of straw and small sticks in the barrel then put the ashes on the top to avoid the ashes from getting in the solution.

Pour water over the ashes slowly until a brownish liquid oozed out from the bottom of the barrel. This potash lye solution was produced by letting the water run into the groove around the stone slab and drip down into a clay vessel at the groove lip.

Other way to make the lye solution is use an ash hopper. Keep the ash hopper in a shed to protect them from being leached by a rain fall. Add ashes periodically and pour water at intervals to assure a continuous supply of lye. The lye will drip into a vessel placed beneath the hopper.

2) Rendering the fats.

Cleaning process of fats is called rendering. It is the smelliest part in making soap.

Animal fat must be rendered while removed them from the animals during butchering. Take out all meat tissues that remain in the fat sections. Fat obtained from pigs is called lard while fat obtained from cattle is called tallow.

If soap is made from grease saved from cooking fires, it is also have to render to remove all collected dirt in it. It will create a good smelling soap.

To render, place animal fats or cooking grease in a large kettle and add in an equal amount of water. Place the kettle over the open fire outdoors. Never do it in house because the smell from the rendering process is too strong. Allow the mixture boiled until all the fats or grease is completely melted.

After a longer period of boiling to assure completion of melting the fats, the fire is stopped. Add the same amount of water as earlier into the kettle and left the solution over night to cool down.

The fats have solidified and floated at the top surface forming a layer of clean fat by the next day.

3) Mixing the fats and lye solution.

Place the amount determined to be the correct amount lye solution in another large kettle or pot. Place it over the open fire outdoors again. Let it boiled until the mixture change into a thick frothy mass. The soap is formed. This process could take up to 6 to 8 hours. It is depend on the strength of the lye and the amount of the mixture.

5) Carefully slice out the diced pulp by cutting between the cubed mango pulp and the skin and remove the skin.

6) Repeat step 3 to 5 for the other side.

7) Cut a cross-hatch pattern remaining pulp from the outer edge of the mango seed. slice the pulp out from the mango seed. Add to the rest of the diced mango.

METHOD B: To cut mango into sliced.

1) Start by peeling the mango with a vegetable peeler or a sharp knife.

2) Then slice off the top (stem end) and bottom of the mango.

The following list constitutes some items that are of the utmost importance when setting up your home office. Many people often overlooked these when starting a home business.

LOCATION: Where you set up your home office will depend on your particular situation, but if at all possible use a spare room. Your best bet will be to set yourself off from the rest of the house in order to afford you some privacy. If this isn't an option in your home, try to find the next best place where this could be accomplished. You need not be totally secluded from all intrusions, but you'll want the option to be able to keep distractions to a minimum when necessary.

LIGHTING: If your office has a window you'll receive natural lighting during the day. But if you plan to work in the evening or you don't have the option of using a window, you will want to provide good artificial light that's friendly to the eyes. Special light fixtures and bulbs made just for reading are readily available and could make a world of difference for a few extra dollars. Whether you choose overhead fluorescent lights, desk lamps or another type of fixture, be sure your office has plenty of good lighting.

DESK: The best scenario here would be to have a nice, professional-type desk. That's not always possible, nor affordable, for many who are just starting out. If your work area will not permit it, or it's just not in the budget at the moment, do whatever you can with what you have available. CHAIR: It may not sound like a major thing, but if you sit at a desk for long periods of time (and you shouldn't do that anyway - take a five minute break every hour!) you'll want to invest in a good chair with support for your lower back. Once again, you can find some really good deals if you keep your eyes open for them. Also, be sure to replace your chair when the padding is worn or you may start experiencing increasing back pain over time.

SUPPLIES: Know beforehand what you are going to need to run your business smoothly and then always try to have them readily available. It is inevitable that at some point you are going to run out of that thing you forgot to pick up at the store at just the wrong time. Nothing defeats productivity more than having to stop mid-stream, go pick up supplies and then try to get started back on your project again.

ORGANIZATION: I know that no matter how well-organized an office starts out being, there are some people that are just not going to let it stay that way. They aren't, and never have been, organized themselves. With that said, do your best when setting up your office to keep organization in mind. Have the things you use often close by. Try to keep your files in the same location so that when you need to locate one, it's where its' supposed to be and you won't find yourself running all over the house looking for it.

As for filing, this can be the worst and most-dreaded (but necessary) part of office work. My best advice: keep up with it. Set aside one time-slot each week to do the filing, or any other type of paperwork drudgery that's necessary to keep it from piling up around you. Your job will be must easier in the long run.

PHONES: Depending on the type of business you have, the phone system you choose may not be a major issue. If you rely heavily on your telephone, find one with the functions you need. Likewise, if the phone is merely a source of interruption to you, then invest in a phone that offers a built-in messaging system. For many home business owners, a standard cordless phone is sufficient for their office also. A word to the wise: keep an "old-fashioned" corded phone on hand to use during power outages.

COMPUTER: If you rely on your computer for your home business, get the best one you can afford. It need not be expensive, but it MUST be reliable. If all that you can afford right now is a PC that's considered to be outdated & slow, so be it-as long as it won't cost you more money and time in repairs than you cannot afford while you're just starting your business. Old & slow is fine for the interim, but beaten & broken is not. You don't need major technical problems rearing their ugly heads while you're in the middle of a project. When you can work it into your budget, upgrade to something a little more current, but don't settle for something in the meantime that isn't reliable.

IN CONCLUSION: Most everything you have in your office, from your chair to the lights, will affect your productivity in some way. While staying within your budget, try to get good equipment and furniture. Keep in mind that many of these items can be purchased second-hand. Along that line, eBay is another option to keep in mind. There is no tricky software to use, just the iTunes software you are already using to load your iPod, and Windows Vista or any older version of Windows.

Instructions:

Connect the iPod to the cable that you use to transfer music from your PC. Connect the cable to your PC as well and this should automatically launch iTunes if you have it installed. If not, make sure to install the free program, because it's the only supported software for managing your iPod music. If it does not launch automatically when your iPod is plugged in, launch the iTunes software manually.

Cancel synchronization right away as it will erase the music files on your iPod. Click on the name of your iPod in the Devices section of the left panel. This will take you to a screen that contains the general information about your iPod, such as size, name and available options. Select the checkbox that allows you to manually manage music, as that will keep your iPod from attempting to sync again and potentially erase your music.

Check the option at the bottom called "Enable Disk Use." This will allow you to browse your iPod as if it is a hard drive or jump drive attached to your computer. Now eject your iPod so these settings will take effect next time you connect your iPod to your PC.

Change the folder options on your PC to be able to view hidden files and folders. Double-click your "My Computer" folder and go to the Tools menu at the top. Select "Folder Options" and go to the View tab along the top. Check the "Show Hidden Files or Folders" checkbox and then click "Apply."

Reconnect your iPod. In your My Computer folder there will be a removable storage device that was not there before. This is your iPod, and you can now browse it like a hard drive. Navigate to the folder named "iPod_Control" and inside of it will be a folder called Music. This is where your music is stored on your iPod. Copy this folder back to wherever you want on your PC and you are done.

Therefore, when you choose the light color, you should find something as close to white as possible because it can provide a great background for the rest of the room to exist against.

The middle color that you choose should be your larger furniture and the areas around the windows. This means that the drapes that you choose should be closely associated with your furniture and the area rug that you may have. In fact, if you use the area rug to base the room around, by selecting the medium color in the area rug, you will be able to easily base the rest of the room around this.

Finally, the darkest color in your color palate should go toward the accessories in the room. This means the end tables, the lighting fixtures, and the accents that you place around the room. The eye will be more naturally drawn to these accessories and you will want to arrange it so that they are placed sparingly around the room, so that they eyes aren't overwhelmed with all of the items it is being attracted to. Step 1
Get a spray gun. Rent a professional-grade one. Let the company know you are using it to paint a car, so they will give you the proper equipment.

Step 2
Clean the car surface. Wash your car and make sure that every nook and cranny is spotless.

Step 3
Strip the wax or finish off the existing paint job using a commercial car wax stripper or degreaser.

Step 4
Sand any shiny spots with 250 grit sandpaper. Now is also the time to fill any dents or other small imperfections.

Step 5
Ground the car to prevent static charge from building on the surfaces that you want to paint. Attach a wire to the car frame and run it to a grounded object.

Mask windows, chrome and tires with masking tape and paper to keep the paint from getting where you don’t want it.

Apply base coat of primer. This helps the later coats bond to the car.

With knowledge and patience, you can easily grow your own apple trees from seeds but it takes about ten years for your trees to mature and produce an edible crop of fruit. In addition, this will only work in areas that get freezing temperatures in the winter.

To plant your own apple tree, follow these step by step instructions:

Step 1

Pick an apple that you like and save the seeds.
Place the apple seeds into a paper towel.
Fold the paper towel over into a small square.
Keep the paper towel wet, and place it in your refrigerator.
Keep checking the seeds and keeping them moist until sprout grew about a week.
Only about 30% of the seeds will germinate so plant enough!
They are now ready to plant outside.

Step 2

Plant the sprouts into small containers filled with potting soil.
Keep the soil moist and place it at a suitable location that receives a lot of sunlight such as you kitchen window.
You can place a clean glass jar upside over apple tree to help protect it from the elements and from animals.

When the plant is grow large enough, plant it outside.

Use a piece of an old rag to loosely tie the tree to the stake.
The rag and the stake will help support the apple tree and help it to grow straight.

Step 6

Spray your mature tree with pesticides in order to keep them free from bugs and diseases.
They also need to be pruned to a rounded shape. The reason for pruning is to ensure that your tree is getting the best air circulation possible and rid of the nonproductive branches on the apple trees.

Step 7

Ensure that your tree does not overproduce apples.
Apple blossoms form clusters that can have five or six potential fruits. The best option would be to thin this out by leaving only one fruit when the baby apples have reached close to the size of a marble.
Thin out your tree will help to promote larger fruit sizes.
